Just imagine what would happen if thousands of Jesus-followers throughout the Greater Victoria region would go out onto the streets to pray God’s blessing over the homes, businesses and schools in
their local neighbourhoods! What an impact that would have!
This spring we are calling the Church of Greater Victoria to do just that! Starting Good Friday, April 3rd through to Pentecost Sunday, May 24th, followers of Jesus will be hitting the streets to offer daily prayers of blessing over their neighbourhoods. We’re calling it “Bless My City” and it’s going to be amazing!
“Bless My City” is something everyone can participate in! Whether you are young or old, whether you live in the city, the suburbs, or in a rural area…wherever you can walk, you can pray and bless. 52 local pastors and ministry leaders have partnered together to provide this daily prayer guide. There is also a “Bless My City” app, where all the daily prayers of blessing can be displayed on your handheld device.
Because we know there are going to be God stories coming from your daily walks, we’ve also set up a website www.blessmycity.com and Facebook and Twitter accounts where you can read and post
stories.
To finish off the 52 days, on Sunday, May 24th, we’re inviting the entire church of Victoria to a celebration on the lawn of the Legislature. The Worship Victoria band will be playing and Pastor Andy Moore from Glad Tidings Church will be speaking.
So get on your walking shoes and get ready Church of Victoria to be blessed as we join together for “Bless My City”
